Electric motors and shared boat service are presented at the Boat Show

In the boat industry too, electric solutions are quietly gaining ground - this can be seen, among other things, at this spring's Fredericia Boat Show

Many of the up to 30.000 people who are expected to visit the boat exhibition in Fredericia over two weekends this spring are boat owners - or hope to become one. But there are also alternative ways to get on the water, which, among others, the company Skipperi Denmark ApS will show at MESSE C.

- We offer sailing life on subscription. As a member of Skipperi Fleet, you get access to all our shared boats with your app, and we take care of winter storage, insurance and boat space, so you can just enjoy the sailing life, says director Bo Hilding.

The concept was launched in March 2021 with 15 shared boats, and this year the fleet has grown to 35 boats, says Bo Hilding, who is looking forward to presenting an exciting news at the Boat Show:

- We are premiering a new electric boat, which has been developed together with Finnish Q Yachts. It is just under seven meters long and has a table, benches and sunbed and is perfect for green and noise-free city cruising, for example around Copenhagen's canals.

It looks really good and has a good range, and we expect to reach around 20-30 copies in 2024, says Bo Hilding, who looks forward to spreading the Skipperi concept and of course wants to get many new members on board Boat Show.

Avator electric outboard from Mercury

One of the world's largest manufacturers of boat engines, American Mercury, naturally also focuses on green, emission-free boating, and this has resulted, among other things, in the new concept series of Avator electric outboard motors.

- You can get an exciting sneak peek at the new Avator electric motor that we have at the Fredericia Boat Show, says Marketing Manager Mathilde Ramsgaard from Bådliv.dk in Greve. She adds that there will of course also be a host of conventional engines and motorboats in Fredericia, including the introduction of Mercury Marine's new 25 and 30 horse four-stroke outboard engines.

The Greve company also offers the largest stand at the Boat Show - Bådliv.dk/Jørgensen & Dahl is the Danish representative for, among others, Mercury, Mariner, MerCruiser, Bayliner, QuickSilver, Smartliner and Linder.

But it's not just boats and engines that you can hear about at the stand. The company has transformed the website mercurymarine.dk into Bådliv.dk, which, in addition to the familiar content, is a sailing portal with exciting editorial reading material, practical guides, a marketplace and presentation of the various brands.

Boat Show in MESSE C, Fredericia takes place over two halves - 24.-26. February and 2-5 March 2023.
